rom a few pieces until all of the pieces are in place. You could also, theoretically, modify the form of the base, high, etc.
To do this I started making three pieces (all triangular) of different sizes... and then I stablished that there is going to be a bigger concentration of bigger pieces on the first third of the building, a bigger concentration of medium pieces on the second third and a bigger concentration of small pieces on the last third. I did this by rotating the pieces a number of times accordingly to a percentage.. the funny thing is that it works most of the times, but it doesn't work if the base of the building has 3, 8, 12, 18 or 20 sides (20 being the higher number on the number slider).. maybe there is a way to solve this with lists that I am not using????
My second problem is that I want to rotate each floor of the building separetly using a range... the thing is, I cannot make it work, because it rotates each triangle and not the whole floor... maybe there is a way of making groups or changing the list definition, but I'm not getting there.... I tried working with planes, but it is even more difficult to make the whole thing work...
I'm attaching the grasshopper documment and a couple of pictures so you can get my idea....…

But im wondering if there is a way of appliying this to my definition for the bending of a gridshell in various steps of progression until its resting position is achieved.
I can see that the components upon which the stress display is calculated are the start length of the structural members minus the rest length. If the length remains constant as the lathes are bent into shape - is there an alternative method or a way or applying this kind of feedback analysis to this process?
Thanks,

results that show heating loads when the building is unoccupied.
I only want to condition the building from 8 am to 8 pm Monday-Friday. I've been focusing on the heating set points to troubleshoot my issue.
The main two methods I have tried:
Create a CSV Schedule & assign using the setEPZoneSchedules component: for this one I started with a schedule that defined the heating set point as 20 when I wanted the HVAC on, and 0 when I wanted it off.
Define cooling/heating set points and setbacks using setEPZoneThresholds: the "readMe" told me that there were no setback schedules to define (the schedule it was replacing was from the Office program).
As a final option, under method #1 I created a heating set point schedule with all hours at 0 to see if I could at least get the heating turned off all the time, but nope! I still got some hours with heating, although the zone temperature was always well above 0.
I feel like I'm missing something very basic here! Is there another method to set an HVAC on/off schedule? I'm not getting any errors, so it's hard for me to know where exactly I'm making a mistake. I've attached my GH file with some notes.
Thank you!!…
profit and ask you another question:
With the list of points I would like to make this procedure:
- group all the points with same x,y coordinates (I mean all the points that belong to the same vertical column)
- know how many points are in the same column
- know the z position of the highest and the lowest
Something like: "there are 8 points on the column with X=200 and Y=50, the first point has Z=20, the last has Z=130"
is there a way to do that? I feel like I'm getting closer, but can't achieve it...
thank You for your attention
