nts but as there are polylines and surfaces in it, they are conflicting as the geometries are overlapping and intersecting.
The input for the model is a centre point and four connecting points: we can call them CNT, A, B, C and D. The model works for these points - it's quite complicated with lots of polylines, vector geometry, surfaces, rotations, etc. - but it still works and has an output of two breps.
If I had a compilation of N sets of CNT, A, B, C and D's, is there a way of feeding each of these into the grasshopper in individual sets rather than just plugging in the huge set of numbers - e.g. feeding in CNT1, A1, B1, C1 and D1 and getting a result before moving on to CNT2, A2, B2, C2 and D2?
I've tried looking through tree structures, but it seems to be failing when the size of the set isn't known - e.g. how to extract all the information from trees when N isn't know using list item (i=0, i=1, i=2..., i=N).
I hope I've managed to explain the problem adequately, I can make up an easier to understand Grasshopper model later if I haven't explained well...
Thanks in advance for any comments, pointers, etc.…

orm of the model but when I try to add the piping to it, I get the message saying Windows has ran out of memory.
I am using Windows 7 and have tried going into the BCD as recommended here: http://wiki.mcneel.com/rhino/memoryincrease but I was not able to run this command.
I have then tried to increase my virtual memory within Windows, even up to 30GB with no luck.
I'm pretty sure I'm doing something really wrong here but I really need to get this modelled ASAP for a portfolio submission.
Any help would be very much appreciated!

James

The thing is that if I raise the -aa parameter from 0.05 to 0.1 all works fine..
Is this only related to my PC then?? What should I do to solve this issue?
Thanks again for your help

oking for a project Architect meaning an individual who knows top to bottom the whole route:
1. 1% is the conceptual/"sketch" design phase be that smart or traditional (in fact is less than that since everybody does "wild" things the one way of the other these days: finally it doesn't make any difference, just another twisted thing among other twisted things)
2. 99% is the shop drawings + specs + quantifications + tech descriptions.
3. 1345% is the ability to deliver something that is not laughable (and avoid the design construct alternative, the end of days that is).
BTW: making a Boeing 777 (the very first thing made without "papers" around) isn't convincing enough for mastering "work flows"?

in the .gh-file below. However, it takes a very long time to generate this calculation, even four about five panels or so, while I have about 1600 on the hyperbolic paraboloid. You once told me in another discussion that the TOF component did less calculations than the PV Surface component and would therefore be faster. However, it seems to go even slower when you have multiple surfaces.
So what I would like to know is how to have an idea of which PV panels would be worth of keeping on the hyperbolic paraboloid. For instance, to visually represent the panels with a TOF of >90%, >80%, >70% and so on, without too long calculation time.
(You will have to zoom out quite a bit to see the surfaces. The TOF component is in the red group and there is some part of the code that is irrelevant for this question, but it's quite clear.)…
le discontinuous list of index numbers and I'd like to be able to generate a set of domains where each span of numbers would have its own domain. For example:
This list: 5,6,7,8,9,22,23,24,25,26,77,78,79,80,81...
Would give these domains: 5 to 9, 22 to 26, 77 to 81...
I'm at a loss as to how I can achieve this though. I know I can use the bounds function on the list but that would give a single domain, not several. In case it helps the list in question was generated by a true/false cull pattern from the complete list of indices so simply determining the indices of the beginning and end of each chunk of 'trues' in the cull pattern would work as well as it would give the same domains. I can post an example file if anyone would like but I figure this is a pretty general issue.
So anybody have any ideas on how to solve this multiple domains from a single list problem? Thanks in advance for any help at all, I'd really appreciate it!

it we thought our stands will be made with a fixed depth (80 or 90 cm) and incremental heights like 30-32-34-36...cm, and that is the list you have to supply.
The script will iterate over the different possible measures until it finds the smallest one that complies with your desired C value, but it wont be the exact, just the best approximation within your list.
2. Changing this also depends on the combinations of riser height and depth you provide, if you enter 1m and 1m in both lists you will get an 45º slope.
Anyway, getting a fixed-c value script would be easier (much easier than what is already there) but IMO it wouldn't have a direct application in real stadiums unless you are ready to make each stand different from the rest, discarding any pre-cast solution.
Hope this helps.

roader than this. IFC (Industry Foundation Class) as an open BIM format permits users with the choice of other software they work with. From Grasshopper you can choice to use the model data in Digital Project, Archicad, Microstation, Tekla and beyond. http://buildingsmart-tech.org/implementation/implementations
But there is much scope for improvements in the implementation of model importing/exporting in all software. This is also why I decided to develop a Revit Addon (I can reuse 80 to 90% of my existing c# code) to import the data within this environment. But again this enabling workflows from all the software above plus Rhino/Grasshopper into Revit.
Certainly I think the work of the others is impressive and in areas I haven't really broached yet. But given demand for these aspects I will certainly be looking at it.
Look forward to hearing other thoughts and observations.

temperature.
I changed it and things are clearer, yet now I became intrigued by a discrepancy between what is reported by the "conditionOfPerson" and the "percentOfTimeComfortable" outputs. At first glance would seem that they are reporting the same thing in different manner, but they both provide different outcomes (See pic).
Why is that the case?
Shouldn´t the "conditionOfPerson" output had to incorporate the values within the threshold of 80 or 90% (in case that is not happening)?
Any comments?...
PD: The AdaptiveComfortChart doesn´t provide any output data. Not that I wan´t to rush any one out to fix it, but I just want to report it.
Thanks!,
Alejandro
