Durante el curso el participante conocerá y entenderá los fundamentos de programación y sus aplicaciones usando Processing: una plataforma de desarrollo en lenguaje java, que surgió en MIT, creada por investigadores enfocados a procesos numéricos y/o generativos para arte y diseño. Se realizarán ejercicios programados para generar gráficas, volúmenes o situaciones kinéticas en tiempo real, basado en algoritmos o reglas complejas y en el procesamiento de datos, soluciones que permitirán comprender temas esenciales como datos primitivos y datos compuestos, algoritmos generativos, geometría 2D y 3D paramétrica, programación estructurada y programación orientada a objetos, control de flujo, variables y ámbito de variable, entre otros temas.

Robert (Bob) McNeel (McNeel & Associates founder) Robert (Bob) McNeel is the founder and president of Robert McNeel & Associates (RMA). Founded in 1978, RMA originally focused on developing accounting software for accounting, architecture, engineering, and other personal services firms. Within a few years, RMA expanded its services to include selling and supporting microprocessor-based engineering and design software including AutoCAD. By 1985, the main focus of the business had shifted to AutoCAD sales, service, training, and software development. Bob McNeel grew up in the mountains of southern Washington State on a subsistence dairy farm. To pay for college, he worked in construction as a carpenter, welder, and cement finisher. Bob has a BA in Accounting from Washington State University. Prior to founding McNeel & Associates, he was a practicing Certified Public Accountant and the comptroller for a large construction company in Spokane. Andrés González (Rhino Fablab director) Andrés is a software trainer and developer since the 1980s. DESCRIPTION : Two seemingly contrasting ideas combined will turn into something remarkably new. This resulted in the idea of Digital Craftsmanship – connecting the digital technology with artisans’ craftsmanship. Singapore is uniquely positioned to benefit from both – the latest technology in digital fabrication, as well as the beautiful and rich culture of ASEAN craftsmanship in countries like Indonesia, Thailand and Vietnam. The NUS digital fabrication in architecture studio introduces advanced design to fabrication flow, such as 3D modeling, simulation, digital fabrication and physical assembly and testing. We discover existence of data flow distinguishes digital and conventional craftsmanship, prolonging the interface between human and object. The result is very encouraging –the Digital Craftsmanship approach could lead innovative yet regionally relevant contemporary architectural design, complex yet controlled functional geometry and aesthetics. We hope this exhibition could raise our awareness about preserving the precious wisdom of traditional craftsmanship alongside with advanced fabrication technologies in architecture.

We hope that this will give designers and engineers to make more sustainable buildings and structures in the future. And you can take a look at our code - to learn or improve it if you like! The framework is still in early stage and doesn't do a lot yet at the moment, so this is your chance to become an early-adopter.(By the way, very soon new components will come out that will early let you do more.)
The framework is linked to Grasshopper and Rhino - as soon as we have a little bit more, we will add some links on this site too.
At the Design Modelling Symposium Berlin (September 28 - October 3)we will host a workshop over the weekend which will show you everything about the framework and its components, our future plans, etc. We will also teach you how to develop your own components. Not everything will be purely related to the framework as we will be doing a lot of .net development related to Rhino/Grasshopper and other parametric applications. The intention of this event is to provide a relaxed and flexible tutoring experience, with only one goal – getting to know Grasshopper better. We will start with a very exhaustive introduction, then venture into the computational geometry world in whichever direction we like.
Schedule
The long duration of the series (with a possibility of extension) will enable each participant to come up with their own research problems during the learning process. The scope of those problems will have a major influence in setting the direction of each workshop. While a couple of initial meetings will be solely spend on Grasshopper basics, the latter part of the series will have a more open character.
Each meeting day starts at 10 AM and lasts till 5 PM, with an hour long break for lunch (14 hours of tutoring per meeting).

It seems the rs.SurfacePoints only returens the control points of a surface rather than the actual corners of the surface. Can you advise if there's a way to do it?

of information in groups, and I don't know how to separate them, in differentiated lines to work with each value. The information appears and disappear , with a flickering behavior. This are the different channels, with the name of each one, and the value inherited, from each source. What can I do to separate them!!!??
