ows an error saying "shape must be a planar region".
It seems like its still the same bug from 2014 as mentioned here:
http://www.grasshopper3d.com/forum/topics/region-slits-error
Anyone know of a plugin that has a working component that does the same thing?
I didnt think it would even through the error with 3 super simple surfaces intersecting at right angles at 2 points.

and then the solar radiation reduction with different shading types. Everything seemed to be working great until an engineer compared the values I was getting with the values she calculated (same geometry and weather file (Mountain View, CA) for June 21st all 24 hours) using IES. I'm attaching my grasshopper definition (geometry internalized), the weather file I'm using and an excel file showing the solar radiation values (highlighted) from both IES and Grasshopper. I assume that Ladybug's calculation process has been vetted and compared to other known procedures/methods, so can anybody shed some (sun) light on what's going on? The engineer would like to know how the solar radiation is calculated, I assume with radiance, is this correct?
Also, when I set the analysis period on June 21st from 15hr - 16hr and from 16hr - 17hr the Ladybug_Radiation_Analysis component gives the nebulous error message: "1. Solution exception:index out of range: 12"
Thank you in advance,

nteraction in the design of an enclosed volume.
Revolutions have occurred through architectural history and vary widely in terms of design methods and fabrication techniques. Focusing on inspiring natural form‐finding techniques, AA Athens VS works towards producing a large‐scale interactive prototype that alters in real‐time the perception of interior space.
Technology and architecture are coupled for the third year in Athens with a novel agenda of transforming an enclosed area and creating internal contrasting city‐life characteristics that transcend the local conditions. In collaboration with the National Technical University of Athens, Cipher City: Revolutions explores participatory design and active engagement modeling and continues building novel prototypes upon horizontal planes.
The toolset includes mainly ‐among others‐ Rhino Grasshopper, Processing and Arduino platforms. With the completion of the Programme participants receive the AA Visiting School Certificate. In 2013, the design agenda of AA Athens will connect with the agenda of AA Greece VS in the city of Patras. Participation in both Programmes will allow for a more extensive learning experience through additional tools like Autodesk Maya, Autodesk 3D Studio Max and more.

trl + X shortcuts.
When i ie. type ctrl + Z it just does it in the rhino window instead of the grasshopper window and when i press space when an item is selected nothing happens.
I am running 64-bit rhino on Windowns 10 on a bootcamp macbook pro from 2014 with a danish keyboard.
i have tried switching keyboard language in windows settings, but nothing works. I have also checked the shortcut settings in grasshopper and they are all on.
I am very new to grasshopper. haven't spend more than 3 hours in the program. So maybe i am just overlooking something really oblivious.
Hope there is anyone who can help :-)

2. WORKSHOP (23-27 April 2014)
A 5 day Design-Based Research Workshop exploring new techniques in Digital Architecture/Fabrication, with a specific focus on the use of generative systems and parametric modeling as tools for creative expression.
Our ultimate goal is to increasing the efficiency of utilizing digital tools in parallel with geometric performance of the primitive design agent.
+ + CONCEPT
Fashion and Architecture are both based on basic life necessities – clothing and shelter.
However, they are also forms of self-expression – for both creators and consumers.
Both fashion and architecture affect our emotional being in many ways.
The agenda of this workshop is to investigate on the overlap between these two areas of design, art & fashion.
Fashion and architecture express ideas of personal, social and cultural identity, reflecting the concerns of the user and the ambition of the age. Their relationship is a symbiotic one and throughout history, clothing and buildings have echoed each other in form and appearance. This only seems natural as they not only share the primary function of providing shelter and protection for the body, but also because they both create space and volume out of flat, two-dimensional materials.
While they have much in common, they are also intrinsically different – address the human scale, but the proportions, sizes and shapes differ enormously.
+ + + OBJECTIVES
So far, Architects have been using techniques such as folding, bending etc. to create space, structural roofs or different other structural shapes.
The agenda of this workshop goes further with the investigation of algorithmic thinking through generative tools Integrated in design.
The challenge is creating a bridge that connects these two areas of design, architecture and fashion that perform at two opposite scales.
+ + + + TECHNICAL BRIEF
In the early stages physical models and low-tech strategies will be used, allowing the participants to gain a greater understanding of materials, fabrication and assembly methods as well as simple, yet pragmatic structural solutions.
Later in the workshop these strategies will be digitalized and elaborated using software visualizing tools such as Rhinoceros and the algorithmic plug-in Grasshopper.…

its way into parametric design on 24th February – 2nd March 2014. The workshop is designed to fulfill students' as well as professionals' requirements. The exceptional 30 seat workshop is part of the regular series of events called Parametric Bratislava, which is itself a unique activity in the central-european space. One week long workshop focused on architectural form-making, usage of digital techniques of parametric design is going to lead participants to the new approaches in both, design and architecture. ECOTYPE workshop is going to take place on 24th February – 2nd March 2014 (1 day optional Crash course + 6 days main course) at the Faculty of architecture, Slovak University of Technology. Renowned Serbian experts from Grupa Arhitekata Jelica Jovanović and Dragana Petrović are going to join forces with Italian Noumena architects Aldo Sollazzo and Iker Mugarra Flores to bring together the natural and the digital. The workshop is going to look into digital sensing structure subsystems, constituted by associative simulations of the relations between tectonics and the environment in which human activities take place according to specific programs. It is going to provide and control a constant flow of information about the changing internal and external conditions which is processed by a computational subsystem articulated by Rhinoceros 5 ( NURBS-based 3D modeling software) + Grasshopper 3D & Sub-Plugins (generative computation tools). Through these means new design opportunities are going to be explored. The resulting proposal challenges conventions and the way that design is conceived, stepping away from linear process and embracing holistic approaches. ECOTYPE workshop is meant for intermediate Grasshopper users. For the newcomers there is going to be available an optional one day Rhinoceros 3D + Grasshopper Crash course with Ján Pernecký (rese arch) and Fabio Palvelli (3D-Dreaming.com). The beginners are going to learn basic NURBS modelling, import/export techniques, best drafting practices and basic Grasshopper scripting – workflow, parameters, components, data structures, attractors, surface subdivision, mathematical and logical operations. - Aldo Sollazzo focuses on exploring critical issues in architecture, design, and urbanism through parametric design, scripting, and fabrication strategies.
- Iker Mugarra Flores is mainly specialized in advanced geometries and logics, prototyping and fabrication, environmental morphologies and holistic approaches to large and small scale strategic design ecologies.
- Jelica Jovanović is within Docomomo working on proposals for the protection and sustainable preservation policies of the modern movement architecture in Serbia.
- Dragana Petrović specializes on Bioclimatic design in Architecture.
- Ján Pernecký - Architect, researcher, curator, programmer, organizer.
- Fabio Palvelli - Architect, designer, researcher and publisher of architectural projects, workshop organizer. ECOTYPE's approach is focused on the architectural view of the geometry. The participants are going to get acquainted with a vital tools for producing algorithm-driven shapes with a strong sustainable concept.
