ata panel. Therefore I´m using the multiline data panel as an input for the N value for the duplicate command and the S for the partition one. However, I don´t know how to add {} values within the panel. Now I have several indeces 0,1,2,3... but all of them belong to the {0} items. I want to add more, {1}, {2},{3}...
How do I type that within the multiline data panel?
I want to do the same thing I show in the Multidata 01 JPG but not repeating the same commands. See Multidata 02 JPG

are in 3 diferent planes), and their index of surfaces which they were projected onto.
What I wanted to do was to make planes out of those projected points, and those planes must have the same axes (x, y, z) direction of those surfaces they were project onto.
I tried to find a connection with the list and the indexes of the planes. Since:
Sfr01 = index 0
Srf02 = index 1
Srf03 = index 2
And tried to replace them based on the indexes that the projecton component gives, but I couldn't connect the dots.
Any ideas ( I got the result by finding the coordenates on which Srf and then finding the respective planes, but it just sounded wrong and ineficient.)
Thanks in advance.

done up and running on May 2nd. I'm looking at creating a canopy to control the amount of daylight access in the space.
I’m looking at creating openings/holes inspired by the opening and closing function of a heart valve. With the openings/holes, I want the openings/holes to be controlled by an attractor point, with the attractor point represented as the sun. I want to look at different scenarios during daytime whether it’s in the morning or afternoon.
My intention is to create openings/holes similar to the ones from the video tutorial on how to create a circle pattern based on point distance by d.fano. (except that the circles are resembled as eclipses to resemble the heart valve openings)
However Reza Eslami has created openings/holes from Dynamic 01 and Dynamic 02 which are similar to what I want to design for my openings/holes. Except look at resembling similar to the heart valve. Have a look at the links so that you understand what I want to create.
Links to Reza Eslami's dynamic systems:
http://www.grasshopper3d.com/photo/dynamic-surface-02?context=user
http://www.grasshopper3d.com/photo/dynamic-surface-01?context=user
I have some questions in mind on how I can design my system, here are the following:
1- How would I apply openings/holes in a complex surface similar to the one in the circle patterning based on point distance tutorial by d.fano?
2- What methods I can use to represent the attractor point as a sun?
3- How would I apply openings/holes in a complex surface similar to Dynamic 01 and Dynamic 02 by Reza Eslami?
4- Are there any tutorials on how to use GECO? What components, scripts or definitions I need for GECO to work? I would like to use this program to analyse how much daylight is accessing the space.
It would be greatly appreciated if you can provide some valuable advice on how I can create my system. In the meantime, I’ll keep on developing my system. I'll try and upload my Rhino model/Grasshopper definiton of a test array I did (with the guidance of a tutorial by d.fano)as well. Cheers.…
exact formula is inside /lib/skybright.cal if this can help you to find the name.
{ RCSid: $Id$ } { Sky brightness function for sunny and cloudy skies.
Additional arguments required for calculation of skybright:
A1 - 1 for CIE clear, 2 for CIE overcast, 3 for uniform, 4 for CIE intermediate A2 - zenith brightness A3 - ground plane brightness A4 - normalization factor based on sun direction A5,A6,A7 - sun direction }
cosgamma = Dx*A5 + Dy*A6 + Dz*A7;
gamma = Acos(cosgamma); { angle from sun to this point in sky }
zt = Acos(A7); { angle from zenith to sun }
eta = Acos(Dz); { angle from zenith to this point in sky }
wmean(a, x, b, y) : (a*x + b*y) / (a + b);
skybr = wmean((Dz+1.01)^10, select(A1, sunnysky, cloudysky, unifsky, intersky), (Dz+1.01)^-10, A3);
sunnysky = A2 * (.91 + 10*exp(-3*gamma) + .45*cosgamma*cosgamma) * if( Dz - .01, 1.0 - exp(-.32/Dz), 1.0) / A4;
cloudysky = A2 * (1 + 2*Dz)/3;
unifsky = A2;
intersky = A2 * ( (1.35*sin(5.631-3.59*eta)+3.12)*sin(4.396-2.6*zt) + 6.37 - eta ) / 2.326 * exp(gamma*-.563*((2.629-eta)*(1.562-zt)+.812)) / A4;

e the cones as a rs.AddCone command; would you use here Rhino.Geometry.Cone instead?
02 is a simple output of parameters
here you see how the cone geometry is displayed with no problems when I get them from the tower.cones property
03 is where i have trouble
Line 26-30 this does not work! It does not accept my Guids for anything
Line 41-42 shows how the guid is actually valid when I try to output one cones, for example
So you'd rather use commands from RhinoCommons instead of rhinoscriptsyntax to manipulate and create geometry?
Thanks !!!
Daniel
