- after 1 years of self learning + over 2 years of multiple projects and continuous self learning = Computation skill is comfortable but Computational Design can not be comfortable, Crazy learning curve.
There is much diversity, but some patterns begin to emerge.

Those numbers - whether then scaled up / down or somehow manipulated - will act as the Z dimension which will create the topology. Since V2 - V1 can have a minus value, the overall topology will be a mix of mountains and icebergs this time.
Perhaps to be more accurate, we could divide V2-V1 by 120 and let the topology show the change in speed in a second within that two minutes; the XY coordinates belonging to the latter position of the ships, not the first.
Your definition as you say helps for the linear drawing as it continues from it's stopped. I used that in the current sketch as well for again doing the same thing.However when, I tried to use it for what I am trying to do with the acceleration thing, the result was different. I will try to explain this again;
Let's say that until this point 6 sets of data has arrived - so 12 minutes has passed -. Within that 6 sets, the number of of boats for each one differ as not all of them are able to send data every time. Let's assume in total there are 25 boats and 18 of them have always managed to send data in those 12 minutes. So 18 from the beginning until the end, and finally let's say the remaining 7 of them only could manage to come into the picture at the 4th set of data (so 4,5 and 6).
Now, if I were to build a topology of acceleration for the 6th minute which would mean that I would have to subtract V(4th minute) from V(6th minute) of all 18 vessels, I would need index 2 and 1 from all the branches. If I do this only after 6 minutes has passed from the beginning it would probably work, however if I do it later like at the 12th minute, it does not.
And the very reason for that is when the remaining 7 join the crowd at the 8th minute they obtain an index number of 0, and then 1, and then 2 - at the 12th minute. Because of that when I try to match the V2-V1s with Coordinates on the Unary Force component, while there are 18 sets of coordinates, there are 25 different speed values.
Of course this is quite a simplified scenario and perhaps your vessel matching could solve this specific one but there are cases where its more complicated and random.
I do still want to show vessels' position in a specific time with such pipes you have suggested, but I am trying to construct a collective model, in its simplest form being equal to pipes + topology
For the time thing, what I meant was in this version when you click play the mountains just keep on rising and the topology is constantly deformed. I was wondering if we can set up a timer so that it runs the physics engine for couple of seconds and then freezes the topology as it is. Otherwise I would have to press pause manually everytime, which is not that big of a deal tbh, just for the accuracy sake it would be good to run the engine for the same interval for each model.

b) Select the 'Nodes' and 'Surfaces' with a drag box
c) Click 'Bake'
d) Switch to Rhino window, do the 'sellast' command.
e) Drag baked objects along Y axis so the center point is at 0,0,0
f) Run 'Join'
g) Run 'Cap'
h) set the 'node' points to a layer called 'nodes'
i) set the surface to a layer called 'fit-3d'.
j) select the surfaces and nodes
k) export selected
This elbow that I'm doing only has 12 rows, so doing it the above method
doesn't take THAT long. I'm also going to be doing a couple with larger
tables like the Tee on page 8, and in other spec files. As you can
imagine, entering in EACH value into a slider is a bit tedious.
I'd love to take the pdf table, run it through an OCR program to convert
to excel, modify the headers so the ghx script knows what they are, then
paste it into grasshopper, or save it and have grasshopper read it, and
I be able to move a slider or something to to select one line at a time.
Has anyone done something similar? ie: assigned one row in a table to a
predefined set of variables, each variable coming from one field in the row?

11) Toolbar management is probably the bane of David's life. Most things are logically placed. For example the Curve Tab, Primitives are any simple curve types that you are creating from scratch. Similarly Splines is for more complex curve types created from scratch. Analysis is where you find components that are finding answers supplied by curves, control points, curvature, parameters, end points etc. Division is a subset of this category but has a group of its own. And Utilities is where you find curve related actions that you want to perform, offsetting, rebuilding projecting, exploding etc.
12) I would image it would have been the Point On Curve component in Curve>Analysis. Why that group? You are not putting a point on a curve you are analysing a curve for the location of a point based on some parameters that you are supplying. For example "what is the mid point?"
I hope this goes some way towards answering you questions. No doubt this will have generated more so don't be afraid to ask, it took me several releases of Explicit History (aka Grasshopper) before I realised what the egg did, it never occurred to me that I could put my objects into Rhino when I was finished. Or the fact that I could use panels to 'see' data outputs.

This is the actual reason I'm going through all this. I want to develop an algorithm that can be applied consistently and produce good results.
Here is a a little background. I'm working on my master's thesis in structural analysis. My thesis is on seismic behaviour of a roman temple in Portugal. I will be using a method of analysis suitable for block structures called the discrete element method. I am using a commercial code called 3DEC for this.
Now in order to the analysis I need to construct a 3D block model of my structure. I received a 3D scan of the entire structure (in *.wrl) format and spent a week trying to clean it up and slice it into the blocks that make up the structure. Now I want to use the scanned geometry of the blocks and describe a simplified prism around each that will represent the block in my analysis. I've attached a file with one of the columns in the temple. I think (at least with my tests so far) that it is representative of the all the blocks I'm dealing with.
Now my criteria for creation of the blocks:
I would like the contact area between the blocks to be as close as possible to the actual drum contact area,
I would like to get the volume of the blocks to be as close as possible (secondary to the contact area) to the volume of the actual drums in order to insure that the weight distribution in the structure is as close to reality as possible,
I would like the shape of the contact area to be as close to reality as possible
I order to satisfy all these requirements, I've done the following in my grasshopper file:
I take a section at the top and bottom of each of the drum meshes. I use this to extract the contact outline at the top and bottom of the drum. This is sometimes problematic and requires me to clean up the model and remove features that interfere.
Next I take each surface and try to fit a minimum circle around it. I try to do this because in my mind this is the best possible way to find the actual centre of the drum when there is cut outs and deterioration. This works well as long as more than half of the contact surface is still in its circular shape (third block from bottom in the example file doesn't satisfy this requirement and thus causes problems).
Knowing the centre, I use an algorithm I created in VB to search for one of the flutes on the contact profile. My ideas is that if I can find one of the flutes, I can then find the others by just going around at 30 degrees (there are 12 flutes) and find the location of all the flutes. In the VB code I've tried to explain my algorithm so I won't explain it here. I also think this algorithm is needlessly complicated and stupid as I'll explain later.
Once I've got one of the flutes, I just find the intersection of a line with at every 30 degrees with the outline curve.
Having all (12) points around the perimeter, I use an loop to scale the shape around the centre of the circle I found in step 1 to get the area within a tolerance value of the actual contact area (satisfying requirement 1). I was using HoopSnake before, but it required resetting every time so I decided to write my own thing.
I then connect the points on both top and bottom to get a solid block.
Now the problems are as follows:
Sometimes the algorithm doesn't find the best location as the starting point. As I said an important thing is that the circle is tangent to the flutes and that is true only if the column profile is larger than a half-circle.
The software I use requires convex blocks. I've tried to remedy this by using convex hull component before step 5 to insure the surfaces are convex.
I'm having issues sometimes with the alignment of top and bottom points. I think I just need to implement a component that sorts the points around a single basis so that there is no twisting.
I've been experimenting with convex hull as a general approach for defining the corner points, but I'm having problem take the convex hull curve and breaking it into a 12 sided polygon, preserving as much as possible the location of the flutes and the general shape of the contact surface.
I'm really sorry about the long post and complicated question. I hope someone can give some pointers on what I could try. I understand that this is not an easy question and that it is more a question of doing something rather than asking about grasshopper itself. My goal is to have an algorithm that I can explain as a general method for others to use in the future when dealing with these structures. This is only a small minor part of my thesis (the analysis is what is important) but it is taking a lot of time to figure out.
If you have any other questions, I would be more than happy to provide a better explanation. In the file I have created a region with all my input parameters. You can choose a different mesh from that point and change various settings. I hope that is self-explanatory.

added a separate location for the kangaroo files in GrasshopperDeveloperSettings just to be sure, everything is unlocked, I have .net Framework 4.5.1 installed, turned of Coff and forced Direct via the about panel. I'm working with Rhino 5 SR 12 on 64 bit, Grasshopper build 0.9.0076 on Windows 8.1.
I still get this error in the Rhino command line (translated from Dutch):
