the scripts for awhile but they need to be updated and streamlined. in one case i am thinking to "translate" an existing GH script into a conventional rhino/python script (with perhaps a UI with dialog boxes) if possible.
i also have other contract work that runs the spectrum anywhere from reverse engineering to modeling for CNC to helping us overcome some nagging modeling issues via skype.
the preferred skill set is below.

d' and no extension method 'AnnotativeScalingEnabled' accepting a first argument of type 'Rhino.Geometry.TextEntity' could be found (are you missing a using directive or an assembly reference?) (line 94)
Along with some warnings:
1. Warning (CS0618): 'Rhino.Geometry.AnnotationBase.Text' is obsolete: 'Use RichText or PlainText' (line 88)2. Warning (CS0618): 'Rhino.Geometry.AnnotationBase.FontIndex' is obsolete: 'Use Font property instead' (line 92)
3. Warning (CS0618): 'Rhino.RhinoDoc.Fonts' is obsolete: 'Use DimStyles table instead' (line 92)
I've downloaded the latest version of FabTools.
I've completely un-installed and re-installed.
I've Googled everything I can think of to find a solution, but most references are circa 2013 which is probably under Rhino 5. Which works totally fine, BTW.
Does anybody know of a solution?
Thanks,
Michael

ception:Retrieving the COM class factory for component with CLSID {B0D0A647-983E-485B-9A69-45F0382F0D9C} failed due to the following error: 80040154 Class not registered (Exception from HRESULT: 0x80040154 (REGDB_E_CLASSNOTREG)).
Note the previous comment I did the Unblock with Doodlebug CC 2014 and it worked on Windows 7. At home here I am running Doodlebug CC 2015 with Illustrator v. 2015.3.1 release on Windows 10.
Shot in the dark: maybe needs a namespace declaration to work with Windows 10?
Thoughts on a solution? …
the "port" input. I would really appreciate any help!
For example, my Arduino board is connected to COM 3. The "ports available" component correctly identifies this port, and I know there is nothing wrong with the port itself since the Arduino communicates through COM 3 without problem when using an Arduino sketch.
The runtime error produced by the Firefly open/close port component:
1. Solution exception:Could not load type 'Grasshopper.Instances' from assembly 'Grasshopper, Version=1.0.0.20, Culture=neutral, PulicKeyToken=null'.
System specs:
Windows 7 64-bit
Rhinoceros 4.0 SR 9
Grasshopper Build 0.8.006
Firefly Build 1.0067
Arduino Uno R3
These error messages appear when Grasshopper is loaded from Rhino. They first appeared when Firefly was installed:
Object: Mega_Write (level 1){ Exception has been thrown by the target of an invocation. TargetInvocationException}
Object: Mega_Write (level 2){ Method not found: 'Void Grasshopper.Kernel.GH_PersistentParam`1.SetPersistentData(System.Object[])'. MissingMethodException}
Object: Uno_Write (level 1){ Exception has been thrown by the target of an invocation. TargetInvocationException}
Object: Uno_Write (level 2){ Method not found: 'Void Grasshopper.Kernel.GH_PersistentParam`1.SetPersistentData(System.Object[])'. MissingMethodException}

Object: ArduinoBake (level 2){ Method not found: 'Void Grasshopper.Kernel.GH_PersistentParam`1.SetPersistentData(System.Object[])'. MissingMethodException}
Thank you for your help!

o 'curves'. In the script, it still expects 'x'. I have to add another input before it will refresh and call the input 'curves'.
2/ Upon loading gh, it gives the following error message. This has only happened since upgrading from version 9.0075 to 9.0076
Priority: PreLoad
{
Method not found: 'System.String Grasshopper.Kernel.GH_ComponentServer.CopyFileToRoamingFolder(System.String, Boolean)'.
MissingMethodException
}
3/ I also posted a few bugs here a while ago, just wanted to bump that up:

eries of ramps with slopes =< 10%.
Here's my pseudo-code:
1. Populate brep with random points
2. Sort points by Z values
3. Draw line from point '0' of sorted points to all other sorted points
4. Project lines down to plane of first point and cull all lines =< 5.7 degrees (10% slope)
5. Sort remaining lines by length and return line with the largest length (what I want)
6. Cull all points used to create lines =< 5.7 (step 4)
7. ??? now, I want to somehow pass remaining points from step 6 back into the loop and return the next curve that is: the largest length curve from all curves =< 5.7 degrees
I've attached the script
Thanks ya'll!

?
3. Then do whatever thing imaginable with the line graph (from the connecting "lines") made - and sampled into "clusters": meaning dataTrees in GH speak? For instance: make point to point, line to point etc etc connectivity data trees the likes that Sandbox does?
Or you want just the 3 and skip 2? or the 2 and skip 3?
Add some ? more to all the above.

and 3d rapid prototyping using state of the art material simulation and optimisation. Participants will be guided through methods of advanced structural analysis and evolutionary algorithms implemented in Grasshopper, Karamba and Octopus in a 5 day workshop taught by Robert Vierlinger and Matthew Tam within the premises of the Academy of Fine Arts & Design in Bratislava, Slovakia. The workshop will cover the basics of setting up a karamba definition and more advanced form finding techniques with beams and shells through to preparing files for 3d printing and 2d documentation. For the Grasshopper newcomers there is a preparatory crash course on 20 July 2015 taught by Ján Pernecký. The workshop will be held entirely in English.
