Spread across various cities / countries, we are establishing a global dialogue in the domain of computational design by actively organizing and participating in workshops, lectures, presentations & symposia. While rat[LAB] has taken a top-down approach of exploring computational design through industry, a parallel, bottom-up approach is also in-line to involve students of all levels, from design & related backgrounds.…

About System.Array; that is the way you can pass deeper levels to the Gh_Path constructor. For example, gh.Kernel.Data.GH_Path(System.Array[int]([7,3]))
will create path {7; 3}. The signature is a bit long, but it does the trick. This is an alternative syntax: a = gh.Kernel.Data.GH_Path(*[7,3])

However in this post on Oct 2, 2016, "For anyone who may read this discussion later. Th implementation is done in the newer version of Honeybee which is not yet publicly released for Grasshopper.". I'm using the 2017 Feb 05 version of Honeybee, but it seems that the annual simulation still cannot handle BSDF material. Any thoughts? Thanks!

serial For Vector Maps
You can renew the serial two ways:
1) Download Mosquito, install it again, restart Rhino and you should be good to go.
Or....
2) Click on the little "gear icon" on the bottom left of the Mosquito Vector Maps component and enter this new serial for the Beta version:

of radius of 3, 6, 12 and 18 to randomly populate the grid.
Where each circle has a proximity distance of its own and if any circles overlap / pass in that distance they are Culled (removed).
The Proximity distances of the circles are:
3 = 6
6 = 12
12 = 18
18 = 36
I want to Randomly populate the grid with the circles so that the rules are kept.
I really cant think how to go about this further from what I have done so far.
Any help is appreciated and if you need more info please ask.
NOTE
[This relates to my university project where the distances are Meters on a grid, and the circles are the columns radius. I've added a quick sketch to try and explain the principle of what I am trying to do]…
low cost fabrication techniques developed by RC6, a research laboratory based at UCL / The Bartlett School of Architecture. A part of Bartlett's BPro programme, RC6 traditionally engages in the development of design methodologies positioned at the overlap of digital and analogue computation, primarily investigating concepts which merge traditional, low-tech manufacturing processes and advanced technological concepts.Topic of this workshop - Composite Bodies - represents RC6’s ongoing research into hybridised material systems consisting of soft membrane materials and light-weight infill aggregates. In this particular case, from a material point of view, we will be looking into custom designed lycra pieces, filled with styrofoam beads and spheres and constrained with series of performative stitches. The resulting parts will be coated with latex and used to create series of interlocking components and surfaces.The workshop itself will consist of 2 stages. The first two days will be dedicated to intensive software training sessions. Students will be introduced to multiple digital platforms focusing on scripting in Processing and 3D modelling/sculpting in Maya/ZBrush. Aim is to enable students to understand algorithmic design processes and procedural modelling techniques and to help them to learn how to customize pre-made scripts and how to embed them in their individual workflows.The remaining five days will be dedicated to the fabrication of a spatial installation. Students will learn how to translate digital models into prototypical components and work alongside tutors to aggregate those into one large-scale architectural object which will be exhibited as part of SBODIO32 Exhibition for Milan Design Week 2017.Dates: March - April 2017 RC6 Program Director:DANIEL WIDRIGwith IGOR PANTICSTEFAN BASSINGSOOMEEN HAHMWorkshop Tutor:IGOR PANTICLead Designer at Zaha Hadid ArchitectsVisiting Lecturer at UCL Bartlett School of ArchitectureTeaching Assistants:Thomas Bagnoli, Evgenia Makroglou, Kalliopi Mouzaki, Darshan Singhaniaucl bartlett rc6 graduate studentsSoftwares: Maya, Rhino, Grasshopper, Processing*Previous knowledge of the softwares is not compulsory. //////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////MATERIAL INTENSITIESImagine the design space of architecture was no longer at the scale of rooms, walls and atria, but that of cells, grains and vapour droplets. Rather than the flow of people, services, or construction schedules, the focus becomes the flow of light, vapour, molecular vibrations and growth schedules: design from the inside out.
The sg2012 challenge, Material Intensities, is intended to dissolve our notion of the built environment as inert constructions enclosing physically sealed spaces. Spaces and boundaries are abundant with vibration, fluctuating intensities, shifting gradients and flows. The materials that define them are in a continual state of becoming: a dance of energy and information.
sg2010 Working Prototypes strove to emancipate digital design from the hard drive by moving from the virtual to the actual in wrestling with the tangible world of physical fabrication. sg2011 Building the Invisible focused on informing digital design with real world data. sg2012 Material Intensities aims to energise our digital prototypes and to infuse them with material behaviour. They gain the potential to become rich simulations informed by the material dynamics, chemical composition, energy flows, force fields and environmental conditions that feed back into the design process.

//////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////SMARTGEOMETRY 2012
sg2012 will take place at the EMPAC building on the campus of Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, Troy, in upstate New York USA from 19-24 March 2012. The sg2012 Workshop and conference will be a gathering of the global community of innovators and pioneers in the fields of architecture, design and engineering.
The event will be in two parts, a four day Workshop 19-22 March, and a public conference beginning with Talkshop 23 March, followed by a Symposium 24 March. The event follows the format of the highly successful preceding events at sg2010 Barcelona and sg2011 Copenhagen.
Rensselaer's history and strengths as a world-class engineering school afford a unique environment for design at the School of Architecture. In addition to it's own Undergraduate emphasis on design, computation and the built environment, its Graduate research programs focus on lighting, acoustics, and include the Center for Architectural Science and Ecology (CASE).
