as follows.
We have a grid which consists of a collection of columns, where each column consists of a list of points. You said flattening is out of the question, so we need to cull items from each list individually.
Let's say our culling pattern is KDDDKDD (repeat as needed). K = Keep, D = Ditch. If a column contains 18 points, the pattern needs to be repeated until it is 18 items long. In this case:

K D D D K D D K D D D K D D K D D D
We can now cull each column, but they will all be culled in the same way. By shifting the pattern one more index for each column, we can cycle the culling.
The fix incidentally is to Shift the pattern PRIOR to repeating it. Then it works as expected:

I am triangulating this surface. I want to select just the red vertices. As you can note, I just need the inner vertices of this surface. I could do it mannually, but if I want to change the mesh density later, I will have to pick all of them manually again later.
Can someone help me?

of radius of 3, 6, 12 and 18 to randomly populate the grid.
Where each circle has a proximity distance of its own and if any circles overlap / pass in that distance they are Culled (removed).
The Proximity distances of the circles are:
3 = 6
6 = 12
12 = 18
18 = 36
I want to Randomly populate the grid with the circles so that the rules are kept.
I really cant think how to go about this further from what I have done so far.
Any help is appreciated and if you need more info please ask.

Heatherwick studio will present two projects covering the topic of designing, making and collaborating through computational tools. Heatherwick’s Geometry and Computational Design team will go through the computational processes behind design and making in the studio concentrating on two projects, Vessel in New York with a focus on driving the geometry and Al Fayah Park in Abu Dhabi with a focus on Form Finding and working with collaborative tools.
AKT II's presentation will explore a series of examples where this new approach was experimented, tested and improved, the Al Fayah Park in collaboration with Heatherwick studio and the 2016 Serpentine Pavilion with BIG, and more.
