I'm wondering if this is related to the COM library issue that many others have been experiencing? I'm running the latest version of CC (2017) and the latest version of Rhino, but not WIP. Will this plugin essentially have to be rewritten every-time illustrator is updated? I look forward to using it. Thanks for you help!…
ecember 2017 from 18:30 until 20:30. We will have presentations from Heatherwick Studio and AKT II.
Please visit the following page for more details and registration: http://simplyrhino.co.uk/events/upcoming-events/grasshopper-uk-ugm-2017
Heatherwick studio will present two projects covering the topic of designing, making and collaborating through computational tools. Heatherwick’s Geometry and Computational Design team will go through the computational processes behind design and making in the studio concentrating on two projects, Vessel in New York with a focus on driving the geometry and Al Fayah Park in Abu Dhabi with a focus on Form Finding and working with collaborative tools.
AKT II's presentation will explore a series of examples where this new approach was experimented, tested and improved, the Al Fayah Park in collaboration with Heatherwick studio and the 2016 Serpentine Pavilion with BIG, and more.
We're looking forward to seeing you all again!
Many thanks,
Paul and Arthur

I get profiles with a thickness of less than 5 cm on a truss bridge spanning more than 100 m. In reality they should be in the 150 to 300 mm range. At this point i do not know what I am doing wrong.…
use to cull your data. Use the Cull Pattern component for this.
You can also use an expression component to unify the first three steps, the following expression will achieve the same:
(x >= 30) And (x <=150)
The resulting list of True/False values must again be processed by a Cull Pattern component.

distributed as this can now no longer be inferred from the outline. If you have 5 corners for example, there are 5 possible ways to fit a rectangular grid. Here are three:
You have to figure out how to define which of the possible distributions you're after and then you can start looking for a way to implement that in Grasshopper.

e roads wider, 'RUnion' fails. Bummer! :(
These "roads" are angled at 0, 30, 60, 90, 120 and 150 degrees:
Oh look, 'SUnion' and 'SInt' DO work with wider roads! Sometimes you gotta do whatever works.

and fine-grained control over the Excel 2017 COM objects, to be used with Bumblebee. :) I was unable to get Bumblebee working with the latest Excel, and I wanted to add more fine-grained control over file creation, application processes (killing background processes primarily), etc. Now that it's mostly working, I'm really enjoying all of the flexibility you've built in to Bumblebee. It's working great.
Anyway, I'll share that when it's ready, still more testing to do...
Cheers,
Marc
