This Parametric Design Workshop will provide you with the necessary knowledge and ability to use Grasshopper, a free visual programming plugin in Rhinoceros. The workshop will also include a hands on parametric project.
If you already know Grasshopper and would like to uplift your parametric knowledge, then you can choose option 2.
Option 1: General Workshop for Beginners - 16 hours
Option 2: Intensive Workshop for Intermediates - 8 hourshttps://www.eventbrite.de/e/grasshopper-workshop-fablab-berlin-tickets-33376949354…
next level.
This Parametric Design course will provide the participants with the necessary knowledge and ability to use Grasshopper, a free visual programming plugin in Rhinoceros; you will be guided through a series of hands-on exercises that highlight NURBS modeling and its concepts. We will introduce Grasshopper as a graphical algorithm editor tightly integrated with Rhino’s 3D modeling tools. You will also learn how Rhino is used to render models for visualization, translate 3D models for prototyping, and export 3D models into 2D CAD or graphics programs.
English is the course main language.

ge using parametric design strategies with Grasshopper. The course is suitable for beginners, as it will start with the basics of Grasshopper and advance at a reasonable pace to the level where at the end the participants will learn how to write their own custom made definitions with VB.Net. This is the first of a series of Grasshopper courses that will be offered by arch+lab in their newly opened training center in Frankfurt am Main.…

ASTER than iterating through a larger list of Breps to get the same result. Simply because there are far fewer 'SUnion' operations - even though the unions are more complex (and slower) in phase two.
Same code but organized a little better, with separate X & Y controls so the grids in both phases don't have to be square. This is 3 X 3 in phase one and again in phase two; 81 "points" in ~17 seconds. That compares to 49 seconds using a single 'suLoop' or standard 'SUnion' (they are the same, though 'suLoop' appears able to handle a far larger number of Breps).
