s random reduced with the random reduce component.
Then the random reduced surfaces, is extruded in z direction with negative factor, The plane surface is also extruded in z direction with negative factor, then i used Trim solid, and had about 40 boxes cut in the xy plane with different hight.( hight is from the flowing surface)
The i open a new grasshopper file, and take brep container, and get one of the boxes cut in xy plane, but if i use isotrim on the brep faces or subdivede quad from lunchbox, the divide component show orginal extruded surface and not the smaller one i got after using Trim solid, on the extrusion.
is it clear or you need the file, and have anyone a answer
thank you

orders from bottom to top. There are three pre-set heights: 20,000 / 50,000 / 80,000 (or 20, 50, 80 meters, I'm working in mm).
So if the three cantilevering volumes would be numbered 0,1 and 2, then I'm looking for a way to let Grasshopper generate the following:
A = 20m-position
B = 50m-position
C = 80m-position
(A,B,C):
0,1,2
0,2,1
1,0,2
1,2,0
2,0,1
2,1,0
Attached is wat I have so far, I have only managed to make simple translations per geometry.

summer because of the relative humidity of outdoor air will be over 80%.
I want to set the schedule like this
1) cooling setpoint to be 27C degree and max humidity to be 50%.
2) when the outdoor air temperature is lower than 27C, open the windows and ventilation naturally.
3) Air conditioning and dehumidification are needed only when the occupancies are at home (almost at night) and Natural ventilation is not to be.
4) Accept the indoor air relative humidity to be almost 100% when dry bulb temperature is lower than 27C.
Now, I set the air conditioning schedule as cooling setpoint schedule, but there are no components to set a dehumidification setpoint schedule.
The dehumidifier keeps working all day whichever the windows are opening or not.
How can I stop the dehumidifier during the windows open?
thank you.…
e BIOS as i noticed that i was required to do so. This is the progress i made. Now the file "do something". It takes about 4 minutes in the blockMesh component, so something is happening. But at the end of the 4 minutes i get the same error as before. Tried to run the start_OF.bat externally, but no use either.
Those are the snapshots of both of them:
Be patient ... and bear with me. Sorry for bothering with this ... and thanks,
-A.
P.S. There is a chance it is related to the firewall of my university, or some other security issue for those trying to apply virtual machines/hosting.
I'll try at home in the evening.

ce condition I believe, which yes usually this is 0. Bare in mind that OF divides pressure by density, so if you want the 'real' pressure you would need to multiply the results by 1.205 (perhaps we add this in BF at some point but it's easy in native GH).
Vector based velocity is a very good idea, and a nice and easy way to model these kind of flows!
If you wish to experiment even further with the custom boundary condition components you can try implementing a flowRateInletVelocity boundary condition (see https://github.com/OpenFOAM/OpenFOAM-3.0.x/blob/master/src/finiteVolume/fields/fvPatchFields/derived/flowRateInletVelocity/flowRateInletVelocityFvPatchVectorField.H)
It will allow you set the flows in m3/s, which is handy for usual HVAC specs. The direction of the patch follows the normal of the surface. Setting a minus in the volumetric flow rate assigns an opposite direction.
Thanks for using and sharing! Keep them coming!
Kind regards,
Theodore.
P.S.: Try this as an expirement. Increase the refinement of your mesh, factor of 4 should be nice. You can simply reduce the the blockMesh cell size by 4 to accomplish that. Try running the case and see the impact on the residual graph.

ters thesis on exactly stratification in atria and big semi-outdoor rooms.I am testing a bunch of variables and I was thus looking into utilizing Butterfly. However, this new update came too late in the process for me to fully test out.
I am very interested in your findings, as I had to go to the old fashion (and correct but yet very slow) way of using Ansys Fluent for my investigations.
I would however very much like to compare my results with the ways of the parametric tools, i.e. Butterfly: How valid are the results of BF so far? What could be optimized? When is the parametric tool favourable over the hardcore tools when considering these factors? What are the future objectives?
Could I therefore borrow your script later on at some point to use for my own to generate some analyses?Or would it maybe be possible for you to (in a month or so?) to create a very basic template script that is prepared for temperature analyses in an very simple atrium-like room maybe with an inlet and outlet as you are (or seem to be) making them? I am willing to go with NDA or give full credit to you and your work.
Very interesting what you are doing!!

ich is the following :
"in a box", i would like to create structure made by wooden blades that follow floor, wall and ceiling, but moving from this support due to "curves" which are the most important variables.
Here is my "logic". You will find enclosed to this post my files as well.
In bold what i'm unable to do by myself (i guess) :
Take the square of 25 m x 12 m ; make it a surface
I divide it in "blades" of 20 cm
I take the edges of the "blades"
I divide this edges in 40 points (or equivalent) (A)
I identify my curves (curves) which are on the floors
I identify the crosspoint between my edge-blade and the curves (B)
I have to test the difference between X Y Z of each A and B.
I have to test which B point is the closest of each A
Each A points which is close to B (Distance < 40 cm) must be on the floor
I have to input a math formula in order to représent the movement of A points regarding their distance to B (example : A1 Z = Distance between A1 and B / 2)
If there are 2+ B, that mean that i have "to do something" to get a correct movement. I mean
2 consecutives points must be on the same "plan"
2 height difference between each point must be 0 or a dedicated value
Regarding Ceiling, it is a duplication of the floor but there is coef to apply with Z distance.
2 parallele points on a define axis, example : X, and consecutive can't have more than 20cm of difference
When all points have moves regarding "parameters" and "curves"; i have to do curve linking all the point of a same "line".
After that i duplicate this curve to a upper curve.
Loft
Extrude surface and then, it's done ?
To be clear, i miss the part where i need to make my points move regarding variables...
I'm sorry, RHI Grasshopper projet.3dm does not represent the "need" to have to consecutive point on the same plan

I dont get any error messages in either LB or HB. HB says it has all libraries in its text output.I'm using a vanilla install of Win 10 with standard win firewall unaltered. I have a feeling it has something to do with files not downloading all the same.c:/Ladybug does not exist.
Picture shows contents of roaming/ladybug folder. is something missing?
This is what i've done so far:
Followed all the steps on the install instructions.Uninstalled and installed it again running in administrator mode.
Tried to get files from this thread, but links are broken to download those outdated files. I think I remember I usually have to do this when i do HB installs on new OS...I have not installed open studio, only energy+…
obably only using Rhino4, but three people who bought Rhino2, Rhino3 and Rhino4 respectively are three people using one version each.
We certainly don't know how many Grasshopper users there are. Grasshopper installers are not always downloaded via our website or -once downloaded- used multiple times (think class-rooms and company IT). We have no way of knowing whether someone who once downloaded Grasshopper is still using it. That being said, Grasshopper is downloaded ~100 times a day from our website and this number has been fairly constant since 2009 (though slightly on the increase, I'd say ~80 a day in early 2009). There are nearly 96,000 unique email addresses in the Grasshopper mailing list, more than 455,000 in the Rhino4 mailing list.
The size of this community (>17,000 registered users) is a much better indicator of user-base magnitude, but even here we have no idea how many people registered but are now no longer using GH as we do not collect use statistics (yet).
