onsidered period.
Even if the end of July for the mediterranean climate is not the best period to perform an adaptive comfort analysis (it's just a pretest to define a LB model) I want to refine the Adaptive comfort Chart (AC) by changing the external air temperature data imported from the .epw file with that of monitored data as reported here below:
Where the monitored ext air temperature are in this form (green panel below):
I have used the comfortPar component to set the following parameters:
Adaptive chart as defined by EN 15251
90% of occupants comfortable
the prevailing outdoor temperature from a weighted running mean of the last week
fully conditioned space (even if it is not properly in line with AC as already discussed)
The question is this: the AC component could correctly apply the code below if there is only a list of external temperature data for a restricted period (without indication about the limits of this period) and not for an entire year?
else: #Calculate a running mean temperature. alpha = 0.8 divisor = 1 + alpha + math.pow(alpha,2) + math.pow(alpha,3) + math.pow(alpha,4) + math.pow(alpha,5) dividend = (sum(_prevailingOutdoorTemp[-24:-1] + [_prevailingOutdoorTemp[-1]])/24) + (alpha*(sum(_prevailingOutdoorTemp[-48:-24])/24)) + (math.pow(alpha,2)*(sum(_prevailingOutdoorTemp[-72:-48])/24)) + (math.pow(alpha,3)*(sum(_prevailingOutdoorTemp[-96:-72])/24)) + (math.pow(alpha,4)*(sum(_prevailingOutdoorTemp[-120:-96])/24)) + (math.pow(alpha,5)*(sum(_prevailingOutdoorTemp[-144:-120])/24)) startingTemp = dividend/divisor if startingTemp < 10: coldTimes.append(0) outdoorTemp = _prevailingOutdoorTemp[7:] startingMean = sum(outdoorTemp[:24])/24 dailyRunMeans = [startingTemp] dailyMeans = [startingMean] prevailTemp.extend(duplicateData([startingTemp], 24)) startHour = 24

ing; 95% of all the available tutorial material seems to be from an earlier build, like .7 or something.
Hexagonal Grid is a lot different with it's inputs and outputs changed a lot, and yeah I know Vector multiplication is now assumed by the ordinary one use serves all multiplication function but still generally this issue is the only confusing thing in the entire program which is otherwise quite clear. And it's not just these functions...there's quite a few I'm bumping up against and it's really eating into my study time to have to search and search for the substitute which is often the exact same function with a new name. I know there has to be change to have progress but...
I've tried to think my way around this and after a lot of work on various tutorials I've eventually forced things to work but I really wish things hadn't been thrown out with such brutal haste.
Thus I was wondering; is there an earlier build available that would allow me to go back to say, the Grasshopper Generative Modeling For Rhino tutorials? Link?
Sorry to bother you with this but it would really hasten the learning process..…

y differences that are inconsequential to me, choosing one or the other appears to simply be a matter of a choice in programming style.
I've been active on this forum for a couple of months now. From the cross section of my interests, about 95% of the scripts I've encountered are written in VB rather than C#. My natural choice would be to learn C# because I took some C++ in college and I like the refined style. But I'm a little concerned about learning C# with respect to GH because most of the stuff here is in VB.
Is it just coincidence that Grasshopper users happen to come from other arenas that use VB more? Or, am I missing something that I should know before learning how to script for GH?
Also, once you learn one language well, is it fairly simple to read into and do minor hacking or tweaking in the other, since they are based on the same libraries?
My questions are fairly straight forward. I'm trusting that people in the GH community can keep their cool more than on most forums when a "this versus that" question is asked. Thanks for your understanding.…

Sintesi programma
Costruzione di superfici free-form facilmente editabili attraverso tecniche di sculpting ed una gabbia adeguata di punti di controllo;
Presentazione e spiegazione delle superfici a doppia curvatura, rigate, sviluppabili e loro pannellizzazione attraverso elementi lineari o tasselli piani;
Studio della tassellazione attraverso la plug-in Paneling Tools per lo sviluppo di tasselli tridimensionali complessi;

orm of the model but when I try to add the piping to it, I get the message saying Windows has ran out of memory.
I am using Windows 7 and have tried going into the BCD as recommended here: http://wiki.mcneel.com/rhino/memoryincrease but I was not able to run this command.
I have then tried to increase my virtual memory within Windows, even up to 30GB with no luck.
I'm pretty sure I'm doing something really wrong here but I really need to get this modelled ASAP for a portfolio submission.
Any help would be very much appreciated!

James

de geometries, which can easily be adapted to changing design intentions and requirements. The core concept of the software is that the brick unit is the basis for every action performed. Basically, a design is generated through drawing, placing and manipulating individual bricks. BrickDesignoffers different methods to manipulate the individual bricks in order to map patterns on a façade. These methods can be extended ad libitum through an open script interface, which gives access to a number of brick parameters.…

ve' ist nicht möglich. (line 85)
Unfortunately I don't know how to have it displayed in English but it is saying that it can't convert 'Rhino.Geometry.Curve[]' to 'Rhino.Geometry.Curve'. This is my code:
Point3d pt1 = new Point3d(0, 0, 0); Point3d pt2 = new Point3d(1, 0, 0); Point3d pt3 = new Point3d(1, 1, 0); Line line1 = new Line(pt1, pt2); Line line2 = new Line(pt2, pt3); Curve crv1 = line1.ToNurbsCurve(); Curve crv2 = line2.ToNurbsCurve(); List <Curve> crvlist = new List<Curve>(); crvlist.Add(crv1); crvlist.Add(crv2); Curve joined = Curve.JoinCurves(crvlist); A = joined;
What needs to change? Also, do I really need to convert things like lines etc. to NurbsCurves each time I do this, or is there a more direct way? I am quite new to C# and would be thankful for any tips on how to make the above code shorter and more efficient.
Cheers,
Max…

) function if you've already got a boolean value.
This expression:
x < 12
results in exactly the same things as this expression:
If( x < 12, True, False )
If() is only really useful when you want to return non-boolean data, like so:
If( x < 12, x, 100-x )
In this case, the expression will return either x, or 100-x if x is larger than or equal to 12:
x result
1 1
2 2
10 10
11 11
12 88
13 87
14 86
