Grasshopper

algorithmic modeling for Rhino

Hi Everyone,

I am trying to create a screen facade with variable aperture openings based on certain zones.  In the image attached, I have evenly array vertical lines along a curve but from points A to B, I have manually changed their distance.  The image and rhino file are only showing one instance bust ideally there would be a few more A to B zones where the distances between vertical lines changes.

Any suggestions on how to approach this?  I'm not sure if it's better to try attractor points or define the A-B zones so that the change occurs within their range.

Thanks so much!

Hi.

If you don't mind the exact positioning of openings, then this could be an easy way to do this.

Thank you so much - this works just as I was hoping!

I'm trying to understand script for my own learning and I was wondering why you used the maximum and mass addition components after the graph mapper?

Compare the two output numbers. You'll know "Maxium" kills every numbers smaller than slider number and replace them to slider number. Say, some sort of "Cut off" function.

I see now - thank you!
