    Hi David,

I have been referred to you by David Rutten. He cannot find a solution to my problem, see if you are more intelligent :)

Im sure you have seen the good old tutorial on how to build a parametric truss --> http://designreform.net/2009/07/rhino-grasshopper-parametric-truss/

Im wondering how you can add thickness to the truss. Right now it is just a piece of fabric with holes.

    Many Thanks,
    Mandy

    Hi David,

i realise ur probably vry busy so i really appreciate u taking the time, thanks.

im tryig to model this....http://www.hao.nu/project/mex/mex1.html...rhino, grasshopper, 3ds max, anything would do. i tried by using a spline cage in 3ds max then distorting it with the wave and noise modifier, i tried in grasshopper using an enneper function and the minimal surface tool, but so far i didnt manage to get the desired effect.

    any ideas/tips would be welcome

    thanks

Hello David; First of all thank you for your great tutorial for parametric truss. I really appreciate that. I was able to follow every steps of the tutorial until I reached the final part where I was required to apply the triangular patten onto the curved surface. The pattern only appears on one of th subsurfaces but not the entire subsurfaces. Would you be so good to explain how to achieve the result you have shown on the video please? Will be awesome if you could help. Regards.
