Hi Yannick - thanks for your interest in the stepwell model. I'm not sure how attaching files works here so maybe this will work: step_well.gh

If that does not work let me know and I'll email it to you or post it on a cloud drive you can access.

The contents of the file originally came from Laurent Delrieu who frequently posts here in the Grasshopper forum.  He seems to be a real expert with GH and frankly I do not understand how his stepwell design actually works. I am a self-taught GH user and I use it for designing objects for 3D printing. My own GH files are all fairly straightforward, although many of them are also quite complex.

The GH stepwell gives a good approximation of what a real stepwell is like, but it also has some areas that are incorrect. I did try to fix some of these but since I don't understand how Laurent's design actually works I was unable to do so.

I don't use Sketchup myself since it is not (or was not when I looked at it) parametric, so I am not sure you'll be able to transfer the GH design concepts to Sketchup. Most people who do 3D printing don't use Sketchup anyway since it does not seem to produce valid STL files that can be fixed or printed reliably.

I hope this helps you at least a little. What I can tell you is walking in to that stepwell for the first time is a real "Oh my God" moment that I will never forget.
