CITA The Tower - Construction Process 01

Night time shot - Exterior. We stopped three floors short due to the fact the final knit patches were much stretchier than we were lead to believe. Hence all the dimensions were suddenly off (i.e. larger).

It opened on Tuesday, with only the top part done. Then we spent Thursday/Friday getting it up to what you see here. Despite the fact that the knit membranes are much larger/stretchier than anticipated, the structure does seem to work (albeit, with saggy bits here and there). Will hopefully stay there till 18th of May, if no one messes too much with it. It's open to the public 24/7.. in central Copenhagen, don't think I need to tell you how that might turn out :)

Moreover, this approach often leads to cost savings and time efficiencies, as potential conflicts between designers and contractors are minimized. By entrusting the entire project to a design-build contractor, homeowners can enjoy a more straightforward and less stressful construction experience, ultimately resulting in a tailored and high-quality custom home that meets their unique needs and preferences.
