very nice work!! thanks for sharing! i have a question about how you can change the size or the form of the metaball by attractor point or attractor line type of concept?
unfortunately it is an old definition, do not think I saved it, but it is very simple;
just a 3d grid of points and a curve divided, random reduce on the grid of point and use the two sets of points to generate metaballs.
The main problem is to generate surfaces, beacouse the metaballs produce a series of overlapping polylines, try to delete them by finding their center and applying cull duplicates or with other methods.
