Pachyderm is a plugin largely used by Designers and Scientists alike to simulate acoustics in buildings, rooms, cities, and other settings.
My test model takes very long to run: 10*6*4 m box, all plywood surfaces with 25% scattering over all frequencies.
To run the ray-tracing calculation with one point source and one receiver, 10000 rays and 1000 ms cut-off time, it takes pachyderm about 20 minutes on my computer. On the same computer, it takes EASE just a few seconds to run that model.
There has to be something off that I'm missing. Does Pachyderm use all available cores by default or do I have to activate multi-core processing somewhere?

Make sure you only use surfaces (no polysurfaces, no surface made out out meshes.). There is a Parameter calles voxel grid. I put it at 22 in order to get faster results. Anyway, EASE and Odeon are generally quicker in solving models.
