The Path Structure is like an address, each part relates to a branch or sub-branch in a hierarchical storage system. You can re-address these paths with a different numerical system but you won't be able to replace them with a Name.

Think of it like addresses for homes, If I only gave out the name of my house some one visiting for the first time would find it difficult to locate where I live, but If I gave them my post code then they would be able to systematically narrow it down until they were at my front door*.

But using the same analogy you could look up my post code and find my house name. Similarly you could have Names for each Branch in a separate list  and "lookup" that information when you need to using something like [Value List]

*Technically not correct because they would be able to narrow it down to a row of houses
