Calling all Grasshopper Users.

My name is Philip Valentine and I am a student at Loughborough University currently studying Architectural Engineering and Design Management. I have used Grasshopper3D throughout my placement year in research looking into 3D concrete printing and the automation of the process.

 

My final year dissertation's title is BIM vs. Grasshopper3D: Implications to the Design Optimisation Processes.

Purpose of the Survey:

I am looking to discover the use of BIM and Grasshopper3D in construction companies, the cost of training and implementation of the software and comparing the two. I will also be looking for opinions on the strengths and weaknesses of both BIM software and Grasshopper3D.

 

The overall aim of the project is to explore whether the use of Grasshopper3D along with BIM software platforms can optimise the design process and communication between the disciplines.

    I have received a number of responses, but they are only for the first question or first few questions... could those people who have started to answer, finish it as partially answered pieces will throw off the results.

      Should be titled BIM vs parametric or generative design. or compare a specific program to grasshopper such as revit vs grasshopper.

        Sorry to bump this up myself, but I could really do with some more responses from a variety of companies and completed responses rather than incomplete. At the moment I have a bias towards one companies which renders my results pretty much useless.

        So could anyone who use grasshopper and bim in the construction, however big or small the company is, could you complete the survey above to aid in my research project.
