I think you can use this one to achieve what you want, if it's what you show in these images. You just need to find your rotating pattern. The height, you can control with the initial two curves, the number of horizontal sections and the distance between them (first series component).
I would put some sliders to the other series component that feeds the angle and play with the graph mapper to get different torsion patterns.
