Vogel's Floret

Here is one of the definitions from in my recent video, plus some older definitions from my site.

Vogel's Floret:
A model of disc phyllotaxis first described by H Vogel. It arranges equal sized circles on Fermat's spiral, using the golden angle. The text tags show the arrangement of the Fibonnaci numbers along the positive X-axis

    Hi Daniel

     

    Is it possible to solve for points of the floret on the surface of say, a sphere? Project and pull does not work without distorting the spacing between the points near the point of tangency, while array doesn't work cause it's a sphere.
