Text to number conversion fail - solved

Hello everyone,

I am new at grasshopper and as I am learning the program I seem to have a problem with a section of one of the the tutorials I am following. As I am trying to use the Merge function and the Equality one - I don't know how to convert the text to numbers in order for the Equality function to work (I think the tutorial is on an older version of grasshopper)

I have attached a print screen  - I am sure it's just a little thing that I missed but I could really appreciate the help - Thank you. 

PROBLEM SOLVED: A SPACE IN THE ZERO PANEL WAS THE ISSUE

    Just plug the text data into either a Number or an Integer parameter. However that seems to be what you're doing. Could it be that one of the text entries is not like a number? Maybe an empty text?
