Musical temperament translation to facade?

Hi all,

 

I'm working on the facade made up of 3 types of stone units 300, 600 and 900mm in 1200mm grid. The techinical rule is glazing percentage, saying 40%. I used Galapagos to calculate the number of each unit then randomly located them in order to form the pattern. Attached is the result.

 

However, if possible, I'd expect it more rational. So I'm considering to apply muscial temperament rule on it. Anyone could suggest the methodology? or the alternatives?

      Hi Taz,

      So far I'm thinking of the interval between musical pitches based on certain temperament, for instance 12-TET(tone equal temperament), and apply it onto facade, which means the relationship between units should be identical. It's rule followed by muscians to produce the melody. My units can be extracted a base unit then generate others based on certain rule.
