live data feeding from GH to Ecotect (custom GH components) - export mesh geometry to Ecotect - setup project (location,date,time,....) -
calculate incident solar radiation levels - import attribute data to GH video: http://www.grasshopper3d.com/video/gh2ecotect-1
Thank you very much for this powerful tool. I was wondering if anyone has been able to render the color attributes imported from Ecotect to Grasshopper with V-ray, Flamingo etc. I've tried modelabs' bakewithcolor and bakewithmaterial and also Giulio Piacentino's bakewithattributes component with no success.
Hi Jeff
the analysis feedback from ecotect is stored in the vertex color node of the mesh.
flamingo and vray do not use the diffuse color node, as far as i know they use the object material color.
as i know in 3dsmax and maya you have the possibility to render the vertex color with vray

Which version of Ecotect are you using?
Since Autodesk bought the company i find it a bit confusing to follow...

Many thanks for your answers, time and effort.
Would there be a 64bit Ecotect 2011 or is it all torrent fantasy?
