GH - Ecotect - GH

live data feeding from GH to Ecotect (custom GH components)
- export mesh geometry to Ecotect
- setup project (location,date,time,....)
- calculate incident solar radiation levels
- import attribute data to GH

    @ jeff:

not sure if it is still of importance....just figured out accidently how to render the mesh colour almost as perfect as it get's previewed...with the rhino render
set your rhino background colour to black, then save and then to transparent....(if you want to have a white background later or whatever colour)
set the render material colour to black and
UNDER RHINO RENDER PROPERTIES CHECK "RENDER CURVES"
    render :-)
(i usually save png...to keep the transparency of course ;-)

then a little photoshop and it looks convincing

anyone any idea why that works? just curious!

and thanks for the great pluginS!!!

    thankssss

I  have been playing around with Geco and really love it! Amazing tool . . . However, I am having trouble calculating incident solar radiation on my model while taking into consideration the immediate context (without calculating the entire context with my model at the same time - which is time consuming).

Is it possible to have ecotect run the insolation calculations on one object  - while calculating the "shadows" cast by surrounding objects - and using the GECO functions?

    Thank you so much!
