developable surf?

The algorithm is simple.

First step is to build a surface Normal field.And then use laplace equation to draw the polylines on which each normal are perpendicular to a same vector.  

The cons are obvious.Cause I use the  Normal field to draw polylines. Each mesh face is not quite plannar.

    u mean like a geodesic? where every normal to the  curve, corresponds locally to the to the normal of the surface?
