08_wrinkled fabric surfaces

Hi

in this post I´d like to share one of my latest studies on parametric design.

To me those ordered-random structures appear vivid and animated. They can be associated to frozen movements like silk in the wind or water or many other things or events and by that reflect the beholder´s personal horizont of experiences. It stimulates your synapses, it invites you to explore, feel, touch, weight, turn.

Without being too poetic a structured surface, depending on how it´s executed, is able to communicate a certain taste, style, philosophy and can add more depth to products. I like stuff that shows personality.

To let the surface wrinkles fade on both sides, I baked the geometry and aligned the cv´s in Rhino to a common Z-Level. But it wouldn´t be hard to modify the definition in GH to let it fade towards a attraction point or line.

    I think it's a very good idea to prevent wrinkles on the surface of the fabric. It is very hard to remove the wrinkles from the fabric, but it can be done. I think that this is a very good idea because most people do not like wrinkled clothes. Go to pool maintenance long island for best ideas. The wrinkles are also unsightly, especially on something like a shirt or skirt. I don't know if they can be removed by ironing, but I'm betting it will help.
