Problem-- getting a surface to rotate to an attractor???

I am new to Grasshopper and Rhino so it may be an obvious problem here.... I am trying to set up a series of columns that expand and contract given a certain angle.  I am hoping that i might get this angle to react to an attractor such as a sun path .. so far i have tried with just a single point as an attractor but i think i may have not defined the vectors properly.  If anyone could help it would be greatly appreciated.

    Hi Kara,

Are you studying with Eleanor, or did you see this post? http://www.grasshopper3d.com/forum/topics/rotate-panel-with-vector?...

Instead of using the Vect2Pt component to get try and get the direction of rotation you need the Cross Product. Vector>Vector>Cross Product.

Also the point to rotate about for each panel is different so you need to add the centroid from the area component to the Plane XY input O.

Also for future reference. If you add this in the forum as a discussion I can edit my post to correct the wayward 'get' in "to get try" :)
