7 Classical mathematics in Architecture

Continuing my introduction to geometries and mathematics in architecture, I have made a short list of 7 classical uses of mathematics in design.

These are not comprehensive or detailed, but I used these as an introduction to parametric design to Architectural students when I was teaching.

The Golden Section

Fibonacci Numbers

Pi

Tessellation

Packing

Fractions

And the Cartesian Coordination System.

The discussion can be found in my web page here

I've never liked math. Humanities were the easiest subjects for me. During my studies I even tried my hand as a writer and now I'm a member of the paper writers group where I help students. Writing essays is the easiest for me and usually my papers are popular.
