Grasshopper

algorithmic modeling for Rhino

Hello everyone,

I am simulation a spring-System, the idea was to see how the suspension-cable influence the catenary.

Theoretically, when the UForce are equally distributed along the catenary, then it should be a normal hanging-cable, but if it doesn't, then the curvature should Looks asymmetrical.

To see the inequality distribution on catenary I need some additional force. In my GH-definition I use the component 'CurvetoPull' cause I want the node which connect both cables, still could 'slip' along  the catenary thus.

During the simulation the position of catenary changing all the time, and there is no way to take the result of catenary from solver as Input as Curve to pull points to(component CurvetoPull)

basically we could image that it could looks like a tightrope walking ;-)

I build 2 solvers to see how it works. It work but separately, cause the force of Suspension cable has no any impact to catenary.

I think I am not the only one who has this Problem with recursive-date. I was wondering how can we simulation all these conditions in one solver?

Any elegant solution would be appreciated!!
