Grasshopper

algorithmic modeling for Rhino

Hi

I'm having some troubles with managing the data structure of a 2d voronoi pattern that i want to extrude and layout flat for laser fabrication.

I've just discovered grasshopper and, completely new to programming, I've really been pulling my hair the last weeks but also having some great fun with it.

I'm trying to develope a extruded voronoi surface that could layout and number itself to laser cut it in paper.

I've managed to to an extruded hexagrid that could produce unfolded extruded hexagons for fabrication but i can't really figure out how to do this with the voronoi.

The problem is that there are several types of polygonal cells and i i can't figure out how to treat the data structure to achive the planar orientation of the cell walls.

I'm posting the definition of the hexagrid for you to get an idea and the voronoi definition as well. I get to a point where after the extrusion where i can't figure out what to to with the data to orient the cell walls flat.

I'm also posting an image of the goal for the layout/orientation of the cell walls.

If you got some input on how to number the cells i would be very greatful.

My apologies for the messy definitions.
