Grasshopper

algorithmic modeling for Rhino

Hi folks!
I would love to create something like this in grasshopper:
http://abstractfoundation.prosite.com/94859/864997/gallery/bio-cab

basically a boxshell with a voronoidpattern in it.

Is this a job for 3d voronoid or 2D? I suppose 3D to get the points on the sides intersecting? Anyone that can help me on the way?
Then still I can only imagine getting a fully 'voroinoded' box.. how do i receive that only an area of it is in voronoid and the rest plain?

After playing around a bit this is where I got so far.
Creating a 3d voronoi within a box, followed by the subtraction of a box that is a little bit smaller to get a shell. Added the gh file.
But thats where I'm stuck for now. There is no thickness in the 'skeleton' yet, and I fail to create that by a simple offset.
Ones I succeeded to make this skeleton I still would need to make a part of the box full to get the effect as shown in the first post. Any ideas on that or would that be smoother to do by hand in rhino?
Cheers!
