algorithmic modeling for Rhino

Unknown slider?

Hi everyone! I'm doing an exercise from the book "algorithms aided design" by Mario Tedeschi and appears this kind of slider. It will probably not be a slider but it reminds me like one. I don't know what is his function or where to find it. Could you help me?
