Grasshopper

algorithmic modeling for Rhino

I have just started using Grasshopper plug-in, and this question will probably sound simple.Whenever I use trim command in rhino to adjust a form and then introduce it as surface in grasshopper, it recognize my surface including the trimmed part. how can I tell the Grasshopper to exclude that trimmed part? Here is an example , I’m trying to get the triangulation from a trimmed surface , the grasshopper couldn’t see the trim boundary and extend it to the original shape .
Thank you for replaying

This doesn't happen for me. In the example below I have a simple surface trimmed by a curve and then using the surface param. in GH select the trimmed surface. Even dividing the surface does not show any points outside the trimmed boundary.

Hi Danny, and thank you for replaying
In my example I have trimmed a surface by four carves and divided but still it considers the original surface, is there anyone who can tell me why?

Hey, I have the same problem as you maysam : the trimmed parts of surfaces seem to be ignored in grasshopper.
Have you found a solution to this issue ?

Thanks.
If you have a closer look this happens in rhino as well.

When you trim a surface and want to manipulate it you will always get to work with the initial surface shape. The best to avoid this is not to trim :)

try to generate your surface as a network surface or something similar.

good luck
I cant try myself, but try with ShrinkTrimmedSrf command on rhino.
Well, I tried a few things in rhino and one field where it reacts differently from grasshopper is when extracting isocurves : if I extract isocurves from a surface with trimmed parts in rhino, the resulting curves are also trimmed, while grasshopper ignores these trims.
