algorithmic modeling for Rhino

I'm currently researching on triangle origami module.

Here i post the picture of it.

It's when they're half folding. the folding i made it parametric.

Then.. The questioning begin...

is it possible for the triangle to NOT EQUILATERAL ?

the upper triangle is made non equilateral, the result is a mess, which each segements have their own height.

is it mathematically possible? i've tried it physically on a model, but of course, the triangle won't meet at the middle.

Oh, yeah, another question.

the reason is i want to apply this modul on a freeform surface. it's mathematically impossible for freeform surface to have equilateral triangle unless it's relaxed (which need to use more effort and i can't apply it on some circumstances).

you can see more in the attachment.
