Grasshopper

algorithmic modeling for Rhino

hi,

i'm having a hard time with a tree structure. i'm making sections of a complex shape and then i want to place them on a plane one next to the other.

it works well with simple shapes - those, that have only one curve in each section. but when i start to have more curves in some of the section planes, it only moves the first curve in each branch. my question is, how to move all the elements in one branch to the same place?

the grasshopper definition is quite complex, so i'll try to explain in few steps:

  1. make a set of cutting planes
  2. make intersections brep-plane
  3. ???? count the number of branches
  4. ???? orient each branches entire content to {0,0+stepsize*branchNumber,0}
  5. done

the problem is, that i need to make a secondary tree structure of vectors. the structure needs to be exactly the same like the one containing the geometry and the values within each branch need to be the same.

and i have no idea how do do this.

or maybe i'm thinking wrong and there is another way to do this.

thanks for any suggestion in advance!
