Grasshopper

algorithmic modeling for Rhino

Hello,

I have read the following post, and though my question is similar it's not the same.

I would like to know if it is possible to have the settings of the grasshopper's default blank file (the one you get when you create a new document) changed, specifically the view settings:

  • preview mesh settings set to high quatily,
  • document preview settings changed (colors and alpha values of selected and non-selected objects)
  • ...

Thanks again.

You can change the default preview materials assigned to new documents in the Preferences but the mesh settings are currently not settable.

Oh, right clicking on it... Thanks David!

I also just added Template file support since it was fairly easy. The template can have any settings and even objects (such as copyright messages for example) defined. If a Template is defined then the Default Template Materials are ignored:

Wow that was fast! It's great.

Cheers to Charles for the suggestion.

Hi David,

I'm updating our Rhino/Gh deployment actions and login script. Although Gh now allows a template location to be set in Preferences, I cannot see any settings files or registry keys that store this information outside Rhino/Gh, meaning that I can't auto-fill the Template File path field for other users.

Do you have any thoughts as to how this could be accomplished? Thank you for your time.

Best,

Brian
