Simulate a router bit through material

Hi all,

I am trying to use GH to visualize what will happen as a rotating cutter passes through a block of material.  Attached is a simple example showing what I mean. 

I have seen examples of taking the rotated cutter and arraying along the path, then BoolDiff, but that leaves a very choppy result.

I have seen a version where the profile was lofted, which was promising, but I need to be able to move the path curve up/down in Z without altering the vertical orientation of the cutter axis.

Anyone?

Is this what you had in mind? I must admit that it's far from perfect.
