Simple Octree Processing for Splitting an enormous set of surfaces with an enormous set of curves

Hi, I am new to the Octree implementation in Grasshopper, but it seems like a powerful new feature. I am interested in splitting a large number of surfaces with a large number of curves, however each surface is really only being split by one of the curves in the large set.

Therefore, I would assume that this could be solved by using the Octree component to sort the surfaces and curves so that each surface is only testing a small number of curves in the splitting operation (let's say like 5, just to make sure that it does in fact pick up the correct curve to split with).

I would imagine that this problem would come up quite often for Rhino users that are trying to create complex sets of form-work - what I mean is that, this GH definition could potentially speed up MANY operations in Rhino work-flows. I searched the forum for an answer, but I still have not found an appropriate thread. What I'm looking for is either a bit of insight into creating the definition or a thread that might lead me in the right direction.

Thanks in advance!
