Grasshopper

algorithmic modeling for Rhino

I would really love to animate a slider from grasshopper. Meaning make a form change from when the slider was set to 0 up to 100. I know u can export it as JPG but the quality is really crappy (aka its grasshopper view quality). I would love to make it do the same but with rendered quality. Weather to take it into Maya or some how render it through rhino, without doing it frame by frame cause that's just banana

Kinda like this video

You can put a component into the file which performs a rendering of each solution. I think there are some 3rd party components that do this, but it can also be scripted. It would take a long time to complete, but afterwards you just throw away the screencap images and keep the rendered ones.

For example, the attached file uses a C# script and the Geometry Cache object to automatically bake and replace geometry during a slider animation, then render each frame with the current renderer (Brazil for Rhino in my case).

The downside to this method is that it is difficult to assign materials to different objects.
