Grasshopper

algorithmic modeling for Rhino

Hi All,

I tried to find a smooth way to load bock references to GH to export them to txt files for further use. I need them to export per blocktype.

I am able to find the instancedefintion and references to the block.

Rhino.DocObjects.InstanceDefinition mainblock = doc.InstanceDefinitions.Find(name, true);
Rhino.DocObjects.InstanceObject[] blockreference = mainblock.GetReferences(1);

but is it possible to get the reference geometry?

I have seen that i can get transform and instancegeometry.

But how to use the transform?

Any Help? or somebody who has played with it already?

Thanks in advance

best to]

Hi Tom,

Hope you're well.  Have a look at the method on the instance object to explode it (there's an option to super explode nested blocks).  Get in touch if you need further assistance, there's a component in SDR to do this.

Cheers,

Jon

Thx Jon,

worked like a charme!!

have somehow not realized this function.

best, to]

Hi to],
Would you add this function into [uto] tools ??

I think it should be in native Grasshopper, opinion David?

It would be possible.

Jon already have it included into his SDR-tools.

But i would vote for a general native solution from david.

David what do you think?

Or should we do a run?
