recognizing rhio groups

Hey guys, is there a way to input a bunch of groups from rhino and have grasshopper identify each group as a different branch of a larger tree? Now I merge all the different groups but that requires me to input each group  individually which is a pain.. I want to select them all in one go..hope my problem is clear. Cheers ;)
