Grasshopper

algorithmic modeling for Rhino

Dear all,

I am new to GhPython and scripting in general.

I have made a gh-script for model generation, and the final slider, panel, and toggle outputs are saved as an external .xml.

I now want to call back these values to reset the inputs, much similar to the save and restore state function. So far I have made a simple ghPython script to reset a slider with two inputs 1) slider to set (to find GUID), and 2) new value. See attached. It has been patched together from other posts here, e.g. http://www.grasshopper3d.com/forum/topics/python-guid-sliders-conve.... When it runs I get the error "an object expired during a solution". If I dismiss it it seems to be running fine.

In your opinion, is this a good approach? Are there any ways to do the same with panels, toggles, and other inputs?

If it's in GhPython, VBA or C# doesn't matter, in fact, to avoid the ghpython plugin would be better.

Thank you very much

Martin

Bump.

Can anyone please take a look at the python script? Will it be stable in the long run? It's quite self-explanatory.

Thank you.
