Grasshopper

algorithmic modeling for Rhino

Being new to Grasshopper I was wondering if there is any advice or solutions you could offer to my problem...

I wish to use grasshopper to create simple 2D drawings from which to CNC. These drawings will make up the sides to a crate, slotted together using finger joints

However I should be able to change the dimensions of the crate and thus the drawing (including tabs and tolerences) should change also.

Attached is what I have created so far - a 2D template of the 3 different sides of the crate which have...

- Sliders to change the X,Y and Z dimensions of the box

- Slider to change the material depth of the box

- Slider to change the rough length of the finger joints (and in turn fit that rough length within the X,Y or Z side)

- Create the lines for the fingers

I have several questions as follows....

1. I only want an odd number of fingers

2. I would like the cut as pictured in the attachment - fingers marked out and small semi-circular tabs

Any advice would be much appreciated!!
