Question about how to make the facade of MAD's Taichung convention center

Hello! I have lurked around this wonderful forum for a while and trying to learn Grasshopper, great inspiration here! Now I have a little question :)

I wouldn't even know where to start but I was wondering if anybody know how to make these facade elements thats in the Taichung Convention center by MAD architects.

Here is a picture of what it looks like:

And here is a link to the project site on i-mad.com

I am a total newbie on grasshopper and rhino but what I am trying to achieve is to make a surface (either from a loft or a surface edited with "cage edit" and load that into GH and then make this kind of pattern that follows that surface, here is a good image of the interior the facade creates:

It is for learning purposes and maybe to be incorporated in my next school project in some way.

I would really appreciate your help on this!

Thank you!

this shows quiet good the principles of the facade! Top and Botton are a triangle geometry. start with that!

It looks like the base for the geometry could have come from an electric field solver like the one David put together a while back...it has been used in countless design research projects to generate 'space.'

Thank you so much for your input this will certainly make a great starting point the electric field solver seems very interesting and thank you Deda for that image!

When getting the pattern the next step would be to "attach it" over a surface and then find a way to give the "field" a thickness and volume.
