Grasshopper

algorithmic modeling for Rhino

Hey guys,

would like to kindly ask a question. not even sure what plugin i'm supposed to be using, but hear me out:

i'm trying to create a point in space and get it to move towards geometries of close proximity.

for example, the point in (1) where it detects the triangle closer to it, and in (2), it moves to it. also note that i would like to be able to leave behind a trail to show the points footsteps?

Second to that, i would like to also have to points, whereby in (1), point a detects point b, and so to move away from it, it goes to AWAY from it, as you can see in (2), and its movements marked by a trail. i know i've drawn it so that point a moves behind a triangle to hide from point b, but even to be able to program it to move away from b would suffice.

to explain the grand scheme of what i'm doing, i'm trying to set up a hide and seek game between two points, but each point can only move one "grid" per turn. point A will run away/hide from point B, by hiding behind a geometry. all the point movements can be mapped by their lines, and eventually i can produce a visual image of a computerized hide and seek game

thank you so much in advanced. any help would suffice.

Double-click on the GH canvas and search for "near", "pull", "attr" (attract), etc.

I'm afraid this will be much more complicated than you may think, though.  How do you take turns in this game?  Perhaps an Anemone loop?  How do you implement "hiding behind a geometry"?  Very complex concepts for Grasshopper, I think.

Ignore anyone who offers a C# solution!
