Hi!

I think you are assuming the right angle at the wrong position. The yellow one has to be 90° not the red one.

Here is an example that seems to work.

But is it possible that these edges are changing their length while moving?

I just stumbled across your discussion and I think I have a similar problem, but your definition is a little too complex for me as a starter. Maybe you could take a look at this:
