algorithmic modeling for Rhino

I'm trying to align circles to panels, something that shouldn't be to complicated. however, for some reason theres a problem with the uv divide component. It adds extra points where they aren't needed. I've enclosed my definition it would be create if someone could find the problem, because I can't.

Hi Liam

Can you load up the rhino file with the orginal crvs so the definition works as seen in the image.

From what i can see in the Image it seem like you may have duplicate surfaces on the panels that contain extra rows of circles than required.

As well as this some panels seemed to have opposite and UV to others and this is why they look different. though don't know if this is ment to happen.

Thanks for the help. Here is the file, the double panels and flipped uvs shouldn't be happening but I'm not sure what went wrong.

Hi Liam

Your main problem and the reason you got all the double surfaces is the Discontinuity component is giving you a point at either end of the crv. i have fixed this in your defintion just by culling the first point from each list as did not know if the Discontinuity component was important or if both that and the cull could be changed for a end points component and the end point plugged into the srf4pt.

The problem with the random fliped normals is also fixed, this was also linked to there being double surfaces at every point.

i have attached the fixed file

Thanks buddy it all worked perfectly. btw I used the endpoints component, which worked fantastically. I should have thought of that earlier. Thanks again
